This is my contents page development
Reflection is one with my development
Here are some examples
Again I began designing with using one of the examples as a base and working off of that. I used another image of one of Bali's beaches in an extreme long shot and took it form a different angle to keep it different from the front cover. I included some of the boats that were docked near the beach, since it's design is part of Bali's culture. I then added a banner in white, carrying over the modern simplistic design from the front cover. on the close right side where my contents would be in. Later on, I decided to move it to the right since that feels more comfortable with me. At first, I felt like using black text on a white background looked good, but later on felt like it looked too boring for the page numbers, and felt like it didn't pop out as much. So, I decided to replace the black text with something transparent, revealing slightly more of the image behind the banner, making it standout more from the white banner. I used different typefaces so that the reader can quickly and obviously understand what they're looking at, and make it easier for their eyes to navigate. I also removed a kid that was accidentally included in the image to make it cleaner. Then, I finally added some finishing touches to the image I took to make it more appealing.
My teacher noticed that the texts weren't aligned and the spacings were off as well as recommending a more left aligned text instead of justified, and a website. So I fixed the spacing and added a website on the bottom right. This would be good for the younger audience since they may want more digital ways to view the magazine. I put the website on the bottom right just in case they needed it.
