Screen test

To find a star for our music video we need to conduct a screen test. Here is a video of our class's group audition. We did this as a class.

Advantages:

• The recording process was heavily time efficient, we were able to get multiple actors and actresses and perform in a short amount of time
• Since there were more people around, actors and actresses feel less awkward since it's performed in a group
• Since it's such a short and simple video, it makes it easier to edit it

Disadvantages:

• Not traditional, some actors and actresses didn't feel comfortable or shy, so they weren't able to properly act accordingly
• Some actors and actresses didn't know the lyrics to the song
• Some actors and actresses only had few amounts of screentime, so we won't know their full potential on acting as a star

Self Reflection

Since I was able to do this a lot of my friends, this made it somewhat fun to do. Earlier on in the music video, I felt a little awkward, but quickly overtime I got comfortable since I was performing with my friends and ended up having good laughs afterwards. Unfortunately my team wasn't able to find a proper star for our music video from this screen test since the song that we performed to is a complete different genre to our chosen song, the actor and actresses performance didn't seem convincing to us as well.
